The successful candidate will oversee all IT functions in a top Hong Kong-based accounting firm, be in charge of a team of IT professionals, as well as manage the company’s technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems and policies.  

Responsibilities 

• Oversee all technology operations (e.g. network security) and evaluate them according to established goals
• Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
• Conduct regular system audits; run regular checks on network and data security
• Run and share regular operation system reports with senior staff
• Oversee and determine timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
• Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
• Identify the need for software/systems upgrades or configurations and report to upper management
• Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software
• Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts
• Manage and report on allocation of IT budget / expenditure
• Develop and implement IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation
• Provide direction and guidance for IT team members
• Identify opportunities for team training and skills advancement; design training programmes for staff. 

Requirements 

• Proven experience as IT manager or similar role with solid experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
• BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field
• Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc. and experience in controlling information technology budget
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, organizational and leadership skills
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of the technology tools required within assigned responsibilities
• Strong organization and time management skills, capable of manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic and consult effectively with employees at all levels
