SQL Developer Duties and Responsibilities

Develop SQL Databases - developing backend data for web applications, data storage for large businesses and organizations, with data architecture and management to develop and scale SQL databases based on the organization’s needs.

Conduct Database Troubleshooting - responsible for conducting troubleshooting on databases and applications. To ensure that the information is intact, correct, and accessible.

Perform Server Maintenance - SQL developers may also be responsible for server maintenance, which can also involve troubleshooting database programs and operations.

Gather Requirements - gathering requirements and specifications from the end-users. This helps them understand how the database and its information will be used and can contribute to the way an SQL developer structures data and grants access to users.

Enhance and Improve Systems - need to constantly seek out methods to better handle data and increase system efficiency. May propose and develop new methodologies and institute best practices to further enhance database performance.

Skills & Requirements:

üBachelor Degree in software engineering, IT or related disciplines or software engineering professional training combined with experience;

üMore than 3years of SQL experience in a fast-paced, international environment;

üA superior level of SQL;

üA good knowledge of PHP, CSS, HTML, JavaScript;

üFamiliar with Git, Gitlab is requested; knowledge of Jira and Confluence is a plus;

üExperience with Symphony, Highcharts or similar libraries highly appreciated;

üGood communication and presentation skills;

üStrong sense of ownership and result-oriented;

üGood command of spoken and written English is essential; Proficiency in Chinese, French or Cantonese highly appreciated.
