In Asia for over 20 years, we sell ready to wear and fashion accessories with an 'outdoor inspiration'' for a 'lifestyle' use in Asia markets. With more than 300 points of sales, the fast-growing Asia region represents already over 40% of the company sales.

With a growing Asia collection, we are looking for a high caliber candidate Product Developer for strengthening our Asia Collection management

Function of the job

Reporting directly to Product Manager, you are leading the development of all fabrications and trims for our Aigle Asia collection. The Asia collection has 2 seasons (Spring Summer and Fall Winter) with 100 to 130 styles for Men (40%), Women (55%) and Kids (5% - only FW) as well as some Accessories.

Interaction

Report to the Product Manager.

Extensive interaction with Head of Asian collections manager, the Design, Developers, Fit Technicians, Quality and Buying teams.

Strong cooperation with our HQ, with your counterparts.

Some interaction with others individuals throughout organization as needed.

Summary of duties and responsibilities (Essential functions)

Fabric specialist and product development

1. Fabric research: Work with fabric millers to pro-actively review seasonal collections by vendor and develop future fabric needs. Offer solutions if it is outside of the brand’s functions and pricing strategy. Price fabric, leadtime, and Fabric Data Sheet request for selected material.

2. Fabric selection: Participate to the final fabric selection with the design and development team.

3. Fabric development: Fabric testing, communicate the brand standard to ensureour quality standard & properties Labels. Lab dip / hand loom or strike off request and approval for shell fabric, Fabric record in PLM, Fabric yardage ordering for prototypes, SMS and production Fabric approval. You will need to work closely with product developer and be the coordinator. 

4. Organisation: Build up and maintain the fabric library on seasonal basis.

5. Stock material management: Fabric left over record per season after SMS production and liability. Fabric vendor performance report by season. To make proto or SMS or SMU.

6. Fabrics Marketing:  description of the functions and benefits from the selected materials. Information to be integrated by the PM inside the seasonal information.

7. Colours range preparation: Pantone card order, colour palettes, PLM record and follow up. 

8. Global contact window for development of materials from our fabric mill partner with our other international product development.

9. Signature Hangtag, Labels & trims: contact window with our head quarter, coordination and development (development if needed and limited to Asia collection products). Creation in PLM.

Product Developer

1. SMU « Aigle product developer » - You have strong product knowledge to manage product development from design and brief.

TM1 Asia Collection items

1. Update the collectioning system on daily Basis for all seasons. Accuracy of data’s and work in cooperation with PM and head of Asian Collection.

2. Support the development of the seasonal “Go To Market” books

3. Provide effective reporting to management

 Your profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent is required.
• You have 5-10 years of experience in apparel fabric research and development.
• You have good technical knowledge of fabric trims and garment construction.
• Clear understanding of the fabric and apparel development process.
• To know functional and lifestyle outdoor apparel and materials is a strong plus.
• You are organized, detail minded, and have the ability to thrive in a team.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Gerber Web PDM (ideally) and Excel.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
