We're looking for a forward-thinking video-savvy journalist, with an eye for a story and a passion for storytelling to join our team – to work on both client brands and in-house independent projects. You'll join a team of passionate content makers and creators from multiple disciplines, to explore new ways of storytelling and new possibilities with production. Responsibilities include:

• Find and develop story ideas with truly unique angles and that really resonate with an audience.
• Work on the creative to bring the story to life, be it written or visual development.
• Work with video team closely as content will be primarily video driven.
• Produce the content by reaching out to the people, locations, organisations, etc., in order to secure the elements and permissions for content to be produced.
• Manage production timelines, including during pre-production, production, and post-production.
• Work closely with the video team to shoot the content on various locations in Hong Kong and around the world.
• Learn new technical skills to support the content creation process, including videography, photography and social media.
• Willing to travel and be on camera when the opportunity arises.

Requirements:

• University graduate with at least 3 years of relevant experience in journalism, preferably involving videos.
• Excellent writer and storyteller, through various formats, everything from short synopses to long prose, and scriptwriting to question writing.
• An eye for a story angle, and a passion for curiosity. Working knowledge in Adobe Premiere a bonus.
• Tech savvy and up to date with the latest trends and innovations.
• Meticulous planning and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, creative, independent, able to multi-task and troubleshoot under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Maturity of thought and comfortable presenting ideas to colleagues.
• Good team player with ability to learn from and nurture others.
• Have a positive and passionate approach with a can-do attitude.
