Account Director

Opus has partnered with a boutique PR agency to help source an Account Director for their HK office. This is a growing, entrepreneurial business with an impressive client portfolio of both global brands and fun and innovative HK based businesses.  You will be involved in designing and managing integrated campaigns for clients in the hospitality and lifestyle sector and your remit will be international, working closely with colleagues on campaigns covering the Asia region.

 

Responsibilities

  • The Account Director is responsible for managing client relationships and campaigns and securing coverage for clients
  • You will be responsible for developing and maintaining client and media relations and ideally bring with you a strong network of relationships.
  • You will be the lead of a portfolio of accounts and responsible for managing projects within those accounts, ensuring work is delegated accordingly, timelines are met and the project meets the client’s deliverables.
  • You will have an interest in keeping up with new media trends, publications and influencers and work with the team on creating social media campaigns.
  • As a senior member of the team you will be required to assist with business development, identifying new business opportunities, assisting with pitches and presentations.
  • For each account you will have a team of junior colleagues and you will be required to help lead and teach the junior staff on best practice.

Requirements

  • A min of 8 years’ experience within PR, ideally in an international agency
  • Experience of working with clients across the lifestyle, hospitality, F&B or consumer space
  • Bi-lingual – fluency in English and Cantonese and can read and write English and traditional Chinese
  • You will be a positive, creative and self-motivated PR person with outstanding writing and presentation capabilities.
  • Joining a boutique agency you will have a lot of autonomy, decision making ability and flexibility to be creative and innovative as you would like.
  • A proactive self-starter, you will be diligent and organised, and able to forge long-standing relationships with clients, media and colleagues.
