Our Client is an US based garment company with a sourcing arm based in Hong Kong.  A need has arisen to hire an experienced Merchandising Manager to lead the team. 

The Merchandising Manager is responsible for directing and performing merchandising activities within a geographic region to promote proactive and professional customer relationships, coordinate order management and service requirements, and implement programs and product line offerings that execute account strategy, sales volume and profit targets.  Gather, validate and communicate information related to product and program parameters, including customer specifications, product application, price point, quality standards, testing, quantity, and delivery requirements.  Ensure the alignment of customer requirements and company capabilities, clearly communicating and resolving inconsistencies.  Coordinate with design and product development to ensure appropriate parts creation, technical specification and sample development.   Drive development and presentation of product offerings that provide assortment strategy, differentiation in the marketplace and incremental sales growth.  Develop and manage account calendars and critical path for program, season or product release.

To qualify, you should be a degree holder with over 15 years of relevant experience gained from large MNCs.  You should demonstrate high level of initiative, organizational skills, and strong customer service mind-set.  A need to travel of around 20% is required.  Excellent communication skills with full fluency in English and Chinese is essential.
