Job Description

Ralph Lauren APAC is seeking to appoint a detailed-oriented, number-sensitive individual to join our Regional Headquarters in Hong Kong. As a vital member of our sizeable Buying, Planning and Allocation function, this position will be responsible for:

1. Allocation and Replenishment:

  • Develop contingency plans for late arrivals and communicate to relevant cross-functional partners
  • Analyze Supply-Demand match to insure initial orders are filled
  • Communicate initial release, replenishment strategies, and status to Buying, Planning and cross-functional teams, both written and in meetings
  • Execute the initial release of each season’s product within multiple systems
  • Execute and manage replenishment for Fashion, Key items and Basics
  • Monitor all basic replenishment orders to ensure target fill rate is reached
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships within cross-functional team (Merchandising, Planning, Distribution Centers, VM, Retail & Inventory Control, etc.)
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, contributing input on distribution strategies
  • Ensure the financial success of one or more departments by meeting or exceeding sales, gross margin, gross margin and inventory turn goals

2. Analysis

  • Develop and communicate allocation strategies based on location and size selling performance
  • Analyze store/size trends/performance; and apply observations to future distribution planning strategies

3. Order Management

  • Release to Pick, shippable styles based on priority and/or special instructions
  • Track products through DC and partner with appropriate DC to ensure processing efficiency; and address DC processing issues in a timely manner

To be successful in this role, the appointee will demonstrate the following qualification, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor degree holder
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (high levels of accuracy & detail-orientation)
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in allocation with a good working knowledge of retail performances metrics
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good listening, written, and oral communication skills
  • Proven capability to organize and prioritize / manage multiple tasks simultaneously
