Responsibilities:

Sales & Profit

• To achieve seasonal sales and profit targets based on the seasonal business plan
• To negotiate with suppliers in a tough but fair manner to secure exclusive ranges / brands and optimize the profit margin
• To monitor closely on a detailed open-to-buy system controlling sales and stock levels in order to maintain seasonal target
• To work with the Assistant Buyers and Merchandise Coordinator to establish a balanced range of merchandise suited to the customer profile of store
• To be proactive in understanding the competition, and take action to minimize any loss of Lane Crawford market share
• To determine pricing strategies for products/suppliers based on market reviews, competitor positions, supplier financials, etc.
• To fully understand supplier cost structure and logistics costs. Is able to identify value added opportunities for Lane Crawford as appropriate
• To provide monthly updates to relevant parties on key costs and expenses related to buying
• To ensure that staff are utilising Omni-channel technology to encourage customers to shop on and off line, maximizing sales at every opportunity
  
  

Merchandise Management

• To be familiar with both local and overseas market situations and trends
• a desire to understand and communicate the latest trends and fashion to To source newness and maintain a leading position in the market of products in its own category
• To ensure timely delivery of merchandise and ensure consistent quality and quantity to stores
• To monitor sell-through and deliveries of all suppliers and take decisive action to deal with their performance.
  
  

Requirements:

• Degree holder with a minimum 3-4 years of buying experience in retail industry, preferably with luxury Furniture/ Lifestyle experience
• Able to deal with principals and vendors effectively
• Proven experience in managing multiple brands
• Proactive, figure sensitive and attentive to details
• Strong analytical ability with excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent command in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and/Mandarin
• Proficient in all Microsoft applications
• Less experience will be considered as Senior Merchandising Executive/ Merchandising Executive
• Immediate availability preferred
