Job Description

• Supervise R&D / Laboratory Technician to carry R&D works and routine analysis

• Plan and conduct day-to-day R&D works and projects, as well as to prepare weekly plan of laboratory/R&D works

• Coordinate R&D works on surface coatings and new coating materials process development for consumer electronics and various consumer products

• Provide technical supports (including technical information/specification, testing/performance evaluations) and carry out trouble shooting in surface coatings and new coating materials process

• Coordinate optimization of coating process and operating parameters required for the above developed coatings/materials

• Lead a team to follow up R&D project enquire, provide feedback and initiate recommendation on coating processes, laboratory procedures and testing issues

• Coordinate materials characterisation, testing and quality control of the coatings/materials and its functional properties with advanced instrument such as scanning electron microscope, x-ray fluorescence, and electrochemical potentiostatic analyser.

• To plan and execute the required data analysis for laboratory work and prepare of the corresponding project report.

• Responsible for laboratory records and maintain best practice in laboratory operations

• Provide support to ad hoc projects and assignments

Job requirements

• Higher Diploma / Bachelor / Master Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials, or related science and engineering discipline

• Supervising experience in R&D laboratory, experience in testing and materials characterization techniques has added advantage

• Initiative, independent, analytical, patient, leadership and able to work under pressure

• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, intermediate spoken Putonghua is preferred

• Good PC knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Working hours: 09:00 – 18:00 (Monday to Friday, work on alternative Saturday)
