Core Responsibilities:  

• Responsible for the day to day operation of assigned vessels, to be maintained and operated safely, effectively and reliably within the technical budget
• Ensure that maintenance planning, execution and control is carried out according to company standards and in conformance to the planned maintenance system
• Ensure vessels are operated in full compliance with relevant regulations and requirements
• Monitor survey status of vessels, conduct periodic inspection of assigned vessels, and follow up on identified defects
• Prepare, supervise, attend and follow-up on dry-dockings & repairs, supply of stores and spares
• Demonstrate a strong customer-centric approach to solving problems and have revenue protection as their primary goal. 
• Other special tasks and projects as per Fleet Manager / Managing Director’s instruction

Requirements:  

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering
• Have sailing experience as Chief Engineer onboard Chemical Tankers
• 1-2 years shore experience as a Technical Superintendent, preferably supervising Chemical Tankers with a Ship Manager
• Good communication, organization and problem solving skills 
• High integrity and able to work under pressure 
• Willing to travel on board on a regular basis 
• Good spoken and written English

 (Candidate with more experience will be considered as a Senior Technical Superintendent)
