Job Description

The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation (HKSR) is looking for an experienced Project Manager (Major Capital Works) to oversee the project management of all major capital works in Hong Kong and Mainland China for the development and service needs. S/He has to meet the quality, cost, statutory, safety and environment issues as well as scheduling requirements of the projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operation of the assigned project in accordance with Society’s policy and related regulations
  • Liaison with internal and external parties for performance and co-ordination of the projects
  • Internal parties: Affected service units, Committees and Board, etc
  • External Parties: government bodies, stakeholders, Architect and consultants
  • Assist the reporting officer in monitoring the performance of the projects, sub-contractors, and resolve daily matters arise during and after the course of projects
  • Represent the Society to identify potential construction problems. Liaise with the consultant and/or contractor to instigate preventive measures, standardization, and innovate technique in related to selective construction process
  • To monitor the consultant to review, advise and resolve on contractual, technical matters and comment on sub-contracts in related to the projects
  • Lead internal project reviews meeting with project team and report on the performance for Top Management’s and respective Committees’ information
  • Ensure the consultant to establish, develop, monitor and maintain project budget, programme, resources allocation, quality plan, environmental issues, and safety plan in accordance with the requirement

Requirements:

  • Degree in Building, Civil, Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • Member of HKIE / ICE or other recognized professional bodies highly preferred
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience with at least 5 years in managerial grade in construction field
  • Experience in facility management is an advantage
  • Strong management and communications skills
  • Good command in written and spoken English and Chinese; and Putonghua is a privilege
  • Able to work independently, mature with good problem-solving skills.
  • Able and willing to travel to Mainland China

He shall be conversant with project management practices and methodologies, including Agile approach.
