• Key role to support PD/ Sourcing team

Our client is a long-established European consumer brand with business across the globe. An exciting opportunity has arisen for adynamic engineer to join its Product Development team in Hong Kong.  

Reporting to the Head of Sourcing, you will act as a technical expert in supporting new product development programs from R&D stage, sampling, quality standard setting to manufacturing readiness. You will collaborate closely with Product Development team and external suppliers to resolve any technical issues arise during development and production stage. You will set quality assurance parameters, liaise with test labs and QC team to safeguard quality standard. In addition, you will engage in supplier selection and capability assessment via factory visits.  

Successful candidate will possess the following competencies and attributes: 

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other related disciplines
• At least 8-10 years of QA/ technical engineering support of a broad range of gifts and premium/ hardline consumer merchandise; preferably from sizeable buying office
• Solid technical knowledge on production flow of metal/ plastic merchandise
• Proactive, organize and with demonstrated task prioritizing skills
• Team-oriented; with ability to work within fast-paced and matrix organization 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel 
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential
