The minimum qualifications required for these posts shall be as follows:

• A Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent.

• Grade 2 (Note 1) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Exam (HKCEE), or equivalent.

• For RBSI, 10 years' relevant experience including 5 years' working experience in the capacity of Building Services Inspector, or equivalent.

• For ARBSI, 4 years' relevant post-qualification experience of site supervision of building services installation.

Note 1:   Grade E in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ in Chinese Language and English Language respectively in the 2007 HKCEE and thereafter
 
Employment will be on a contract basis. The remuneration package will be commensurate with the candidate's qualification and experience.
