The Center for Education Innovation seeks to hire an Education Development Officer to support the implementation of teaching development projects, development of active learning pedagogies, and training of teaching skills. The appointee will be responsible for (i) coordinating the implementation of teaching development grant projects and related activities; (ii) working collaboratively with the project team members to develop active learning strategies to create active learning environment; (iii) supporting course instructors to incorporate interactive and innovative learning pedagogies into their courses and problems; (iv) facilitating the development of teaching skills for graduate students including conducting workshops in the Graduate Teaching Assistants Training Program; and (v) performing any other duties as assigned by the Center Director from time to time.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in education or related disciplines with at least 3 years of post-degree instructional experience, preferably in higher education. Up-to-date knowledge of active learning pedagogies, immersive learning gamification of learning, and a good understanding of experiential learning in courses/programs in higher education will be advantageous. A high level of proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential, and conversational Cantonese is preferred. The appointee must be a dynamic learner with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, willing to take initiative to move the projects forward and able to concurrently manage multiple assignments. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
