Job Responsibilities

• Preparing a wide variety of foods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread, ice-cream etc, following traditional and modern recipes
• Creating new and exciting desserts (South East Asian, Chinese and Western) to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
• Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc to ensure beautiful and exciting presentation
• Monitoring stocks for baking ingredients and make appropriate orders within the budget
• Closely inspecting the measure and quality of ingredients used for each preparation
• Developing cost saving strategies to increase profit and reduce costs
• Liaising with ingredient suppliers and choose carefully the ingredients required for baking needs
• Accountable for his/her kitchen/pastry complaints and management
• Assisting the front of house with any special dietary requests
• Maintaining a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years proven experience as Pastry Chef, Baker or relevant role
• Great attention to detail and creative
• Excellent organization and leadership skills
• In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
• Excellent communication skills with staff, customers and suppliers
• Well versed in MS Office such as Word and Excel
• Authorized to work in HK (MUST)
