Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Preparing a wide variety of foods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread, ice-cream etc, following traditional and modern recipes
- Creating new and exciting desserts (South East Asian, Chinese and Western) to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
- Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc to ensure beautiful and exciting presentation
- Monitoring stocks for baking ingredients and make appropriate orders within the budget
- Closely inspecting the measure and quality of ingredients used for each preparation
- Developing cost saving strategies to increase profit and reduce costs
- Liaising with ingredient suppliers and choose carefully the ingredients required for baking needs
- Accountable for his/her kitchen/pastry complaints and management
- Assisting the front of house with any special dietary requests
- Maintaining a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years proven experience as Pastry Chef, Baker or relevant role
- Great attention to detail and creative
- Excellent organization and leadership skills
- In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
- Excellent communication skills with staff, customers and suppliers
- Well versed in MS Office such as Word and Excel
- Authorized to work in HK (MUST)
