Major Responsibilities:

• Supports Senior Manager to ensure customer service standards in terms of timeliness and accuracy of underwriting services are met, with effective disposition of internal/external client inquires and service needs;
• As user, contribute to specification and development of IT systems to maintain integrity of risk portfolio data;
• Ensures risks are properly assessed and priced according to the assigned authority;
• Supports Senior Manager to devise and implement effective internal control procedures throughout the entire underwriting workflows to ensure compliance requirements are met and fulfilled;
• Supports Senior Manager to train and develop subordinates in both quantitative and qualitative risk assessment skills;
• Provides liaison between General Insurance Underwriting and all other areas of the company on underwriting related matters;
• Contributes to the ongoing product development/revamp processes by providing technical inputs and particular expertise on underwriting issues.

Job Requirements:

• University graduate or above;
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience with minimum 3 years at managerial level;
• CII / ANZIIF qualification;
• Good knowledge of General Insurance underwriting for both commercial and personal lines;
• Good communication, leadership and coaching skills;
• Well planning and organizing;
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills;
• Customer satisfaction oriented mindset;
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint.
