Job Description
CULTURE PROMOTION AND EVENTS OFFICE
Officer (Ref. 19030507-E2)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) assist in the planning and the implementation of arts and cultural programmes;
(b) liaise and coordinate with culture and arts organisations and performing arts groups as well as internal departments of the University including students and staff associations;
(c) assist in the implementation of marketing activities of approved programmes;
(d) handle all administrative matters, registration implementation and on-site operations;
(e) supervise student helpers; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of the Office or his/her delegates.
The appointee will be required to work on irregular hours and on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree or an equivalent academic qualification in a related discipline;
(b) at least three years of relevant post-qualification experience;
(c) a strong sense of responsibility, an enthusiastic and positive working attitude, ability to work independently as well as in a team;
(d) an excellent command of English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua;
(e) good communication and interpersonal skills;
(f) sound knowledge of computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Chinese word processing and basic knowledge of HTML webpage implementation; and
(g) hands-on experience in digital marketing.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
