Overview

The Senior Industrial Designer/Product Designer will be responsible for product innovation, design and updating existing products (Generation 2 product and OEM product)

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Ensure assigned project goals and objectives are achieved while following established design procedures
• Work collaboratively with Business Development to define product requirements
• Selection of the appropriate design, product or techniques to deliver innovative solutions to projects
• Prepare documentation and project briefing
• Ensure the requirements are clear, deliverable and achievable
• Responsible for the oversight of Technical/Design services throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate day-to-day project tasks with design and technology teams

Job Specifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
• Less experience candidate will be considered junior industrial designer/product designer
• Great skill in digital/analog 2D(hand sketch, Adobe Suite) and 3D (Solidworks)
• Enthusiastic in gadget and electronic and a constant desire to learn more about the latest technology trends
• Consultancy working experience and background is a plus
• Model making experience is a plus (Rapid prototype, working prototype)
• Knowledge of industrial design, mechanical and electrical design
• Familiar with product design, prototyping, and DFM (Design for Manufacture)
• Knowledge and experience in mass manufacturing and large scale production
• Experience in quality check, functional testing, product teardown and reverse engineering
• Advanced level of 2D drafting and drawing skill for patent and IP filing
• Understanding of supply chain management and mass production requirement
• Excellent writing and communication skills 
• English and Mandarin speaking is an asset
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
