Job Description
Dextra Pacific Ltd. is looking for its Production Manager.
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure on-time goods delivery to customers while maintaining all company cost, quality and quantity requirements.
Manager of a team of 50 workers based in house and on site and like an orchestra leader, you will be also in charge to organize, plan, coordinate and monitor the work flow of the workshop who is located in Yuen Long with a total land area over 3,700 m2.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities (1 million of goods produced every year) to ensure work production meets the deadlines
- Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment
- Decide which machines will be used and/or new machines need to be purchased
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
- Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including purchase, distribution and management and within the department
- Estimate production costs in accordance with the production budgets
- Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary training and assistance for improvement
- Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data
- Visit on site to ensure worksite, machinery and required daily workers are ready for production
- Handle administration duties which include recruitment, attendance, absenteeism, termination, work accidents, etc.
- Responsible for all non-routine works assigned by the supervisor
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or Production Management.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience, including a managerial role, in production supervision or front-line supervision for a manufacturing plant, with knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
- Leadership skills, able to motivate the team
- High organizational skills, ability to manage different projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Persuasiveness, be able to influence people
- Critical Thinking and problem solving skills
- Team player, excellent command both in oral and written communication
- Fluent in English and Cantonese
- Ability to work in an open air environment
- Driving license holder (1 and 2) and able to travel frequently on site
