LIBRARY

The appointee will work in the Systems Section. He/She will be responsible for developing library web-based service programmes, managing desktop PCs and computer servers, and administering shared integrated library system. The appointee may be required to work irregular hours occasionally.

Applicants should have a recognised Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT related disciplines. They should have a minimum of three years of work experience in computer and/or IT fields. Good knowledge and substantial experience in (i) developing web programmes using ASP, Java, JSP, Perl, PHP, VBScript, MySQL, and Solr, etc., (ii) implementing and maintaining Windows/Linux/VMWare/NAS severs, (iii) managing the systems parameters and configurations of a shared integrated library system,

Good communication and interpersonal relations, excellent analytical and organisational skills, service-oriented work attitude as well as ability to participate well in team work are essential. Applicants with lower qualification and less related experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Information Technology Officer.
