A little about us:
Verizon Media's Global Service Desk provides world-class customer service to employees when delivering end-to-end support for all technologies including hardware, software, networking, mobile devices, and A/V. Even before an employee’s day one, the Global Service Desk is the friendly face of IT, playing a pivotal role within the company. The team supports a mixed environment of Windows, Mac, VMs, and Linux/Fedora. We are a fast-paced team, committed to providing excellent customer experiences and delivering innovative solutions to technology problems both big and small.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support your colleagues across Verizon Media to solve their technical problems, build relationships, and make their day – across a variety of platforms: Mac, Windows, A/V, mobile, and networking environment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues through a variety of communication methods: live chat, phone and email, walkup desk or visit user desk.
- Executes large, inter-department projects and proposes solutions to issues within the department.
- Provides hand & eyes support for IDF & MDF.
- Liaise with other tech teams for any dependent requests with IT.
- Will be responsible for auditing IT hardware inventory and manage the stock levels for day to day use.
- Works with HR on onboarding / Offboarding, conducts newhire orientation, brownbag sessions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be fluent in both Cantonese & English (Mandarin is a bonus)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Great people skills are without question – be driven to solve people’s problems and make their day.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to learn and improve, both yourself and your surroundings.
- Mac and Windows troubleshooting experience.
- Familiarity with complementary technologies: AD, basic networking, mobile devices, printers.
