The Job:

  • Computer operations of IBM AS400, Window server platforms and Xerox Printing system.
  • Operate and monitor the computer, network and computer room environmental facilities.
  • Ensure scheduled computer jobs are run successfully without error.
  • Ensure scheduled backup jobs are completed accurately.
  • Ensure on time monitor console messages and online systems.
  • Perform recovery routine as instructed in the event of hardware malfunction.
  • Good communications in both Written and Spoken English.
  • Work in 7*24 shift pattern (07:00-15:00 / 15:00-23:00 / 23:00-07:00).
  • Performs other related duties as required.

The Person:

  • Diploma in Computing Studies and related discipline or above.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in PC or other computer operations.
  • Able to work independent and under pressure.
  • Knowledge of AS/400 operation or Control-M would be advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in backup tools (Symantec Backup) and VTL operations.
