The postholder will lead the IT Infrastructure team for developing and maintenance of the Academy network infrastructure as well as provision of central network support service and front line IT support to users.  He/She shall be responsible for the design, configuration and maintenance of the Academy’s network (LAN/WAN/WLAN/VPN) and computing environment (on-premise/cloud (private and/or public)/hybrid).  He/She shall also provide the vision and strategies necessary to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Academy’s electronic information by communicating risk to senior administration, creating and maintaining enforceable policies and supporting processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Applicants should have:

(a)  a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or Information Technology or Information Engineering or related discipline and a relevant Information Security qualification;

(b)  at least ten years relevant work experience, preferably in the implementation of IT network/service/ application/database/systems infrastructure development;

(c)  at least two years of direct experience in information security-related duties, preferably in an educational institution setting;

(d)  excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in data networking and services, network capacity planning, performance tuning and reliability management; network security technology; VMware virtualization technology, Linux, Windows server 2008 and 2012, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint servers; Microsoft Azure and AWS;

(e)  in-depth knowledge of information security standards and local regulations;

(f)  demonstrable user support services experience, especially support of Apple products such as iMac and MacBook;

(g)  good command of written and spoken Chinese and English;

(h)  good analytical, communication, negotiation, leadership, procurement, vendor management and project management skills; and

(i)   holder of MCSA, MCITP, CISA, CISSP, ITIL, CCNA or CCNP is an advantage.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT

Appointment will be made on a two-year contract, with possibility of renewal, subject to mutual agreement. A gratuity payment equal up to 15% of basic salary earned during the contract period will be payable upon satisfactory completion of contract. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental benefits. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
