Responsibilities:

• Manage production schedules to insure customer orders are met and finished goods inventories and delivery are maintained at the proper level.
• Control flows of materials and utilization of labor to ensure adequate production requirements of the plant.
• Manage the Production Department of a Chinese medicine pharmaceutical plant with PIC/S GMP standard.
• Ensure production process, staffing and documentation are complied with GMP requirements.
• Participate in planning, communicating and implementing the manufacturing strategies as well as manpower, budget and cost control of the department.
• Train and motivate the team to accomplish assigned mission before the deadline.
• Achieve production target within budgeted cost, time and quality attributes.
• Work closely with internal departments including Quality Assurance, Logistics, Engineering and Quality Control to ensure business target & GMP compliance task can be achieved properly.
• Participate in technical transfer& development of new products & processes.
• Responsible for productivity, morale and safety of employees.
• Perform ad hoc assignment / special tasks by direct supervisor.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above in Pharmaceutical, Food, Engineering or related subjects.
• Minimum 8 years work experience in GMP/HACCP manufacturing, including minimum 5 years in production supervisory/ managerial roles.
• Knowledge with Chinese medicine would be an advantage.
• Be accountable and able to solve practical problems in manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, organizational, management and interpersonal skills.
• Independent, enthusiastic, with good communication skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).
