We are setting up our new Trading Team for gift & home decoration products

Main market : US and Europe

We are looking for MERCHANDISING MANAGER (trading) – with details as follows :
THE JOB :
- Tertiary education
- 10-15 years of working experience in merchandising; of which over 5 years focus in gift/premium/home decoration products for US/EU market
- Over 3 years in managerial level & trading environment;
- Abundant experience in gift/premium/home decoration products is a MUST;
- Familiar with US and European Market, clear understanding of the international market and industrial characteristics a MUST;
- Familiar with costing & production flow, sensitive in figure, capable to go through the entire production cycle independently;
- Well-versed in sourcing & managing vendor factories in China and/or offshore countries
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin is highly prefer
- Report to the Sales Director
- Provide professional merchandising service to existing US/EU customers for gift & home decoration products
- Source, build and maintain good relationship with vendors so that all prices and lead times are best available
- Review existing vendors’ capabilities from time to time to maintain or upgrade the service standard of our strategic vendor pool;
- Source new suppliers to continuously improve our strategic vendor base, whenever necessary;
- Proactively identify and qualify factories to enlarge & improve the vendor pool
- Manage all new item enquiries, providing quick turnaround solutions with best pricing and options;
- Manage order execution and project management from initial request to shipment of finished product;
- Gather market information and prepare various types of report;
- Arrange and prepare product presentations;
- Well-equip with updated raw material cost information, ensuring best price negotiations with suppliers/factories;
- Ensure total customer satisfaction to enhance the trading business
- Supervise the work of one PRC Merchandiser
- Work based in HK office with business trips to China & overseas required
- 5 days work
