Job Description

VP, Strategic Communications

Opus Talent Solutions has partnered with a global advisory firm that works provides strategic counsel and business-critical solutions to some of the largest companies in the world. As a Vice President, you will act as the day-to-day lead for all client projects and oversee team delivery. The successful candidate will have native English language capabilities and 7/8 years strategic communications experience, having previously worked with clients in the Financial Services, Professional Services or FinTech industries.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be leading a portfolio of accounts across Financial Services, Legal, Consultancies and FinTech, ensuring consistent day to day contact, ensuring high standards and establishing strong client relationships.
  • As a senior member of the team, you will be contributing towards new business development, identifying new opportunities and supporting on pitches and presentations.
  • You’ll be leading a team of junior colleagues so will be expected to lead by example, provide day to day coaching and mentoring to give direction to the team.
  • Provide counsel and advice to your clients by thoroughly understanding their business and its challenges as well as keeping up to date with market trends, events and changes. You must have an interest in the industry and actively share insights with your clients.

Requirements:

  • Min 8 years’ experience in corporate communication, financial communication or transaction advisory
  • Native English with excellent written and verbal communication. Cantonese would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Must have experience of working in a global or international company, either agency or in-house experience is welcome.
  • An extensive media network and a personal interest for global news and macroeconomic/finance events.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing multiple stakeholders while maintaining good relationships
