Alpadis Group is looking for a Compliance Officer who will oversee and ensure the compliance of its Hong Kong office (“Company”) with any applicable rules, laws and regulations, in particular those designed to combat financial crime, tax evasion, anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing or anti-bribery. His main duties will include monitoring, risk mitigation, developing compliance policies as well as reporting and liaising with Hong Kong regulators.

• Monitor relevant compliance rules, laws and regulations, in particular AML/CFT, FATCA, CRS, anti-bribery, and advice the Company and clients of the operational impacts of such regulations.
• Maintain appropriate relationships with relevant Hong Kong regulators and authorities and proactively engage with them, in particular in connection with regulatory examinations, licensing and filings and other regulatory requirements for the proper conduct of the Company’s business.
• Attend to ongoing compliance requirements under the Companies Ordinance, Securities and Futures Ordinance and any other relevant regulations and codes for both news and existing corporate and individual registrants.
• Ensure that Company’s business operations are in strict compliance with internal policies, legal and regulatory requirements, including regular report to Company’s management on compliance risks and issues.
• Review, update and develop (where needed) the Company’s compliance policies, manuals, procedures, systems and control mechanisms in line with current compliance regulations and best practices.
• Monitor onboard compliance procedures for the Company's new clients.
• Conduct regular internal compliance reviews on Company, including personal account dealing, gift and entertainment, CPT hours as well as client due diligence/KYC in accordance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing regulations and policies.
• Create and maintain compliance records, handling relevant reporting and filing with relevant authorities.
• Perform ad hoc assignments as required.

• Degree in Law, business, Finance or Compliance related disciplines.
• Proficient in English. Mandarin will be considered an advantage.

• Minimum 4-6 years experience in a compliance function, preferably in the trust, corporate, finance or banking sectors in Hong Kong, Singapore or Malaysia.
• Extensive regulatory knowledge (AML, FATCA, CRS, SFC regulations, etc.).
• Good working knowledge and experience with Microgen 5Series will be considered an advantage.

• Strong organisational and follow-through skills – must be dependable, proactive and prompt.
• High degree of professionalism and strong work ethics.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
• Solid interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders across the Alpadis Group.
• Able to multi-task and stay focused on the big picture while addressing daily issues.
