Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure financial reports, projections, analysis and variance reports are prepared and provided on a timely basis
• Ensure all accounting processes, transactions and accounting information are managed in accordance with local accounting standards as well as internal policies and procedures
• Process design, review and documentation for those processes that relate to any Trading activity
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of annual audit schedules, account reconciliations and tax schedules as needed for audit preparation and compliance with tax and regulatory authorities
• Develop, monitor, and oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial, administrative, and internal controls necessary to safeguard all assets and assure integrity in the financial reporting
• Consolidate, analyze and interpret financial statements and reports.
• Coordinate the preparation of schedules required for reporting requirements including profit center, cost center or customer level
• Provide leadership in the continuous evaluation and implementation processes and internal controls
• Develop, implement, and monitor policies for day-to-day operational procedures and administration.
• Develop, train, and evaluate performance of Finance team
• Be a key member of the Oracle system improvement team
• Assist in the preparation of company budgets
• Identify and report budget variances and the reasons for those variances
• Maintain written accounting policies and standard operating procedures

Job Requirements:

• University degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA and/or ACCA qualification
• Minimum 8 years’ post-qualification work experience
• Exposure to Bulk Commodity Trading and Shipping accounts is strongly preferred
• Solid knowledge of HKAS and IFRS
• Experience in Oracle EBS R12 Financial module
• Excellent English written and spoken
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive approach and a can-do attitude
• Good organization and prioritization skills
• Attention to detail, while being able to see the big picture as well
