Administrative Assistant

Department of Sociology and Social Policy

The appointee will be required to provide administrative and clerical support to the Department of Sociology and Social Policy. The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in add/drop exercises, class schedules, examinations, meetings, etc.; (b) organizing student activities; (c) assisting in conferences, workshops, seminars, and other teaching and research activities; (d) maintaining student records; (e) supporting general administration of the office; and (f) performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Applicants should have (i) a bachelor’s degree; (ii) at least three years’ working experience, preferably in the higher education sector; (iii) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (iv) a high competency in MS office applications; (v) a strong sense of responsibility; and (vi) effective communication skills.

Salary and Benefits

Commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
