Job Description
The Role Responsibilities
This role is working as the 1st line of defence in operational risk and has primary coverage across the Retail Banking, Private Banking and Wealth Management Operations.
* Responsible for implementation of the Bank's Operational Risk Framework ("ORF") and facilitate the Operations team to understand and to comply with the ORF, internal policies and external banking/regulatory requirements.
* Investigate the reported complaint cases and operational/risk incidents and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to perform root cause analysis, risk assessment, and to devise and implement effective preventive measures.
* Responsible for implementation and execution of the CST processes, sampling and testing the population of controls to ensure compliance with the Group control standards.
* Responsible for recording the results of the CST. Ensure the testing is supported by evidence, completed and signed off before the due date.
* Report CST exceptions, perform the residual risk assessment and ensure identified control deficiencies are mitigated with preventive measures and significant risk items are escalated.
* Prepare risk related reports and dashboard required on ad hoc or regular basis and attend the regular risk forum meetings
* Coordinate the internal / external audit, compliance and regulatory review involving Retail Banking, Private Banking and Wealth Management Operations.
* Participate in ad hoc risk related projects, assessment and review.
Our Ideal Candidate
* Degree holder, preferably solid experience in Retail Banking/Private Banking/Wealth Management Operations, risk management, compliance or internal/external audit
* Knowledge of Operational Risk Management and related regulations : Risk & Control Self-Assessment, Incident Management, Key Risk Indicators, Risk Assessment
* Proficiencies and Knowledge in retail banking, private banking and wealth management products
* Good Command of written English and Chinese
* Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure
