The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

Reporting to Manager, Terminal Planning, the job holder will be assigned terminal development and upgrade projects in Hong Kong and / or Mainland, and expected to perform analysis and define the medium to long term terminal expansion and upgrade plan as well as operational requirements. The job holder is required to work with internal and external parties including consultants, government authorities and other stakeholders in different projects. The key duties will include performing statistical analysis/modelling, cost-benefit analysis and workflow analysis as well as assisting in preparation of project proposals for equipment and infrastructure projects.

The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

• Degree in Operation Research, Industrial Engineering, Quantitative Analysis, Operations Management, Logistics Management or related discipline
• At least 5 years relevant experience in logistics or infrastructure projects, preferably with port related experience
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
• Proficiency in quantitative analysis
• Strong PC skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good communication and documentation skills

*Candidates with less experience will be considered as Terminal Planner II
