Accountabilities – Key Result Areas

• Supports the product development and commercialization process working in collaboration with the internal functional partners to deliver a product with a strong focus on meeting the business requirements for quality, aesthetic and timelines
• Work closely with internal teams in developing the art direction, creative idea and execution based on brand guidelines, product requirements, and trends
• To source and expand new product category and product development
• To identify the market opportunities for new product category, conduct market research on product trends
• Identify the needs of local market in terms of fashion taste and style preference, to ensure the products are adapted relevant to customer specific requirements
• Conduct product review and suggest action plan for product development enhancement
• Formulate buying plan in terms of category ratio and size ratio and allocate the right merchandise in right locations
• Analyze business performance through various financial reports and customer researches on a regular basis to identify risks and opportunities and react accordingly

Experience / Qualification Requirements

• Degree holder in Fashion & Textiles or business discipline
• With at least 5-7 years of management experience in product / category development, preferably in the fashion / lifestyle / retail industry
• Be passionate about the brand’s identity, with personal charisma and visions in international fashion trend
• Ability to research and apply market information
• Excellent product sensibility and understanding of competitive retail landscape
• Ability to take initiative, ownership, and accountability for business results
• Possess effective business liaison skills between buying and design teams for problem resolutions
• Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to recruit, retain, motivate and develop a team
• Managing multiple stakeholders to produce an outcome with the agreed deadline
• Highly organized with strong time management skills, and the ability to multi‐task and prioritize work effectively
• Makes decisions and recommendations clearly linked to the organization's strategy and financial goals, reflecting an awareness of external dynamics
• Able to coordinate and develop effective working relationships with all department heads and internal users
