Position Overview:

This position is responsible for managing the merchandising and product development timeline from sample development to final production.

Responsibilities:

• Lead activities in fabric/sample development, costing package coordination, preliminary screening and order tracking;
• Work with vendors to establish costing plans and follow-up on fit/lab dip approval status and ensure vendors meet the product development timeline, price, and bulk quality standards;
• Proficiency on doing the costing analysis and evaluate the cost breakdown correctly;
• With solid experience to deal with offshore vendors and proactively to communicate with them for all sampling development & production follow up;
• Is accountable to follow up on all details on production to achieve on-time delivery targets;
• Proactive in price negotiation and sourcing of suppliers to meet requirements;
• Deal with production issues in efficient & proactive manner and having problem solving skillset;
• Perform any ad-hoc tasks/projects as assigned by the superior.

 Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Merchandising or textile-related discipline is an advantage;
• At least 5 years relevant experience in a merchandising and/or sourcing environment, exposure with yoga apparel is highly preferred;
• Experience in dealing with off-shore factories;
• Knowledge of the U.S. retail market is an advantage;
• Proficient in MS office;
• Good communication, analytical and problem solving skills;
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, Mandarin preferred;
• Willingness to Travel.
