Job duties

• Lead a team of 5 in sourcing different categories of woven products for ladies young fashion  
• Lead and execute strategies for sourcing and supplier management  
• Ensure good supply chain, product sourcing and quality management to achieve continuous competitiveness
• Oversee the daily operations of merchandising / purchasing department
• Analyze , evaluate and propose available capacity for order allocation
• Assist in any quality issues, claims or disputes between Product manager / QA with vendors
• Monitor potential quality issues and execute relative solutions to ensure they can be avoided
• Follow production plans and WIPs to ensure all orders are shipped on time
• Manage quotations, price analysis and price negotiations with factories
• Establish and enhance supplier base, evaluate current and potential suppliers performance and build up a strong relationship with suppliers
• Coach team members to develop and build up a strong team for achieving business targets
• Collect and report regular product feedback, competitive research & marketing intelligence
• Works closely with internal departments, solve conflicts

Requirement

• Bachelor Degree holder or Higher Diploma Graduate in Textiles / Fashion or related discipline
• Minimum 12 years relevant experience from EU buying office at least 5-6 years management experience
• Excellent written and verbal Chinese and English
• Strong knowledge on ladies apparel – must have good knowledge in woven / denim items
• Proven Managerial skills
• Ability to work in an fast-paced environment
• Must have strong sourcing experience in China and offshore Bangladesh
• Experience working in European retailers is an advantage
• Travel is need, not often
