Project Assistant (Environmental Health and Safety – Environment and Sustainability)   (Temporary) (PR0319/18-19)    

Hong Kong Baptist University is embarking on a strategic direction of creating a low-carbon and environmentally sustainable campus. The appointee will assist the Environmental Health and Safety Section of the Estates Office in executing different environmental programmes for the strategic development and sustainability initiatives. He/She will assist in promoting the Campus Sustainability Guide, Green Event Regulations as well as other promotional programmes by engaging internal and external stakeholders through different communication channels and social media platforms. He/She will also be providing support for conducting carbon audit, reducing carbon footprint, and performing any other duties as assigned. 

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the field of Environmental Science, Marketing, Communications or related disciplines. Higher Diploma/Associate Degree holders with substantial and relevant work experience may also be considered. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and experience in organising and promoting high impact activities and events are desirable. Ability to plan, organise, and execute plans/initiatives is essential.  Ability in liaising with internal clients such as student bodies and academic departments, and external organisations including government is an advantage.

Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
