Job Description

As a direct result of the ongoing growth and a strong commitment to innovation, the opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and passionate Procurement and Supply Assistant to join our team.  This role will support the sourcing, selection, purchasing and supply of packaging products to provide effective packaging solutions to our customers. 

 

Working with the guidance of the Supply Chain Supervisor, this role will work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders and sales personnel globally.  Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring on time delivery of products and coordinating end-to-end requirements including purchasing, supply chain and shipping
  • Coordinating shipping documents, custom declarations and freight costs
  • Monitoring orders and shipments in transit
  • Working closely with supply chain to ensure smooth and efficient flow of goods
  • Ensuring relevant stakeholders are kept up-to-date with all purchasing, shipping and logistics queries and advising of any issues
  • Administration activities including preparing reports, accounts documents and order processing

 

Strong problem-solving skills, the capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities as well as being a team-player will be key to your success.  Furthermore, strong customer service and the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships is critical.

Qualifications and previous experience required are,

  • Previous experience in Procurement and/or Supply roles
  • Minimum 5-8 years shipping & production experience, preferably gained from trading or manufacturing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint is a must
  • Self-motivated, with strong sense of commitment and able to work under pressure
  • Good English both oral and written, Mandarin & Cantonese
  • Experience with QAD, SAP or other ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems highly regarded
