Job Description

Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst for our Financial Reporting and Shared Services FP&A operation in APAC, based in Hong Kong and reporting to the Finance Manager, Reporting and Shared Services FP&A.

  • Assist in making sure the Asia reported balances (balance sheets, P&L, etc.) for each of the statutory entities and brands in the accounting system are reconciled to the Reporting system and is in accordance with VF policies and procedures;
  • Ensure centralized reporting to Asia management is accurate, timely and complete by consolidating and reviewing the information across the Asia region prior to submission
  • Ensure all financial systems are validated prior submission to Corporate;
  • Be one of the central points of contact for APAC and requests specifically relating to the reporting system;
  • Work closely with the brand finance and other financial controllers in providing policy guidance, key deadlines, calendars and facilitating the creation of Reporting schedules to support and enhance analysis capability of the Asia organization;
  • Review monthly General Administrative (HR, IT, Legal, Business Development etc.) cost centers results with department heads. Analyze cost center results against budget assumptions, identify and report cause of variances/gaps between actual and budget/forecast;
  • Support with the annual plan/budget for General Administrative cost centers
  • Support continual improvement and modifications to processes and system migration throughout the month to increase efficiency and address changes due to new or altered internal or external reporting requirements;
  • Support Manager on Divisional and Group Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash flow reporting and analysis;
  • Other ad-hoc assignments or duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related subjects;
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience, preferably 3+ years in Big 4 audit experience;
  • Significant experience in financial accounting and reporting, auditing and financial process engineering, with record of strong control focus;
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills and other Microsoft office software;
  • Enterprise systems knowledge such as SAP & BPC is highly desirable;
  • Meticulous with excellent attention to detail and accuracy with ability to meet deadlines;
  • Self-motivated, proactive and thorough; able to work independently;
  • Strong analytical and management reporting skills;
  • Demonstrated commitment to Company’s beliefs, values and organizational goals;
  • Possesses unquestioned integrity and strong ethics;
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin and Cantonese speaker candidates highly preferred.
  • Experience in Reporting system implementation is a big plus;
  • Apparel/ fashion/ retail/ consumer products experience;
  • Exposure to USGAAP;
  • Shared Services experience preferred;
  • Exposure at an APAC regional role;
  • Approximately 5% travel.
