Responsibilities:

• Examine import/export/standby documents against letter of credit requirements in accordance with the Uniform Customs & Practice for Documentary Credits, UCP 600 or ISP 98 and other policies to determine compliance
• Handle full sets of bills presentation to bank and follow-up the payment status
• Record independent assessment of documents
• Perform data entry of transaction details in automated letter of credit system
• Assist customers in resolving document issues & discrepancies
• Prepare wires for notification/settlement of negotiation issues
• Prepare advice to customers to advise of receipt of documents
• Stamp and accept drafts for usance drafts
• Prepare courier receipt and mail documents to customers
• Create file folder for retention of information
• Perform data entry to record payment and mail advice for internal and external customers
• Prepare cover letters and courier receipts
• Sort, copy and mail documents per letter of credit requirements
• Perform data entry to record payment (imports/standbys) and mail advice of payment
• Perform data entry to initiate payment (exports) and prepare wires in settlement

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of the oil industry/oil trading
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Letter of Credit issuance and document examination
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese typing
