Responsibilities

• Carry out design engineering for façade structure and assist in designing the design concepts.
• Review shop drawings and calculations and give advices to designers for possible changes or areas not covered by the designers.
• Attend meetings with architects to provide engineering input to the design.
• Make technical queries to clients and consultants for clarification of the concepts, the variations and discrepancy of their drawings such as GBP, structural framing plan, etc.
• Assist project team in process of sourcing and CMS submission for material specification on the design drawing.
• Design remedial plans for project team, and ensure the team can respond promptly and immediately should there be urgent situations.
• Support the Commercial team in tender stage to properly estimate design hours, budget and to identify design issues.
• Attend inspections during fabrication, installation and construction on concrete and steel structure.
• Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the CEO, Technical Director and the Senior Design Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 4 years' engineering working experience in construction industry
• Familiar with façade systems, façade design and materials manufacture
• High proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience in various structural engineering software packages Excellent command in English and Cantonese, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis Software (i.e. Strand 7, SAP2000)
• Able to work independently
• Good organization and communication skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Self-motivated and responsible
