Our client, an international firm of specialist consulting engineers providing engineering solutions to a wide variety of clients is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth both locally and throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Responsibilities

• Developing relationships with existing and new clients in the Asian Pacific region so that relevant and realistic tender inquiries for work are received.
• Identifying new leads in design (tender/temporary works/detailed design) and construction engineering with relevant clients / customers.
• Working closely with our existing directors and agents in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Vietnam.
• Maintaining contact information and discussions so that activities are visible to all our directors and agents.
• Primarily concentrate on Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines and Malaysia.  Thereafter other Asian countries and Australia / New Zealand.
• Prime targets for work in the infrastructure sector (bridge, road, rail and marine) with associated or independent geotechnical work.
• Prepare marketing submissions, and documentation for prequalification’s and tenders.
• Prepare fee proposals for work in conjunction with the Directors as required.
• Overview of monthly invoicing.
• Maintain invoice trackers and debtors list.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong experience in complex civil engineering projects.
• Chartered Engineer.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well connected both locally and throughout the SE Asia region.
