Job Description
Our client, a market leader in Global Material Distribution, has a unique opening for a talented
professional to join.
Responsibilities:
To be responsible for a strategic sourcing of steel products from Asia to Europe & North America
including product or service negotiation for best term and conditions
To develop and implement a procurement strategy including cost analysis, volume allocation and supply market situation
To manage the existing supplier portfolio, including performance measurement, delivery status, product specifications and claim management
To support the central procurement department in Germany to implement cluster strategy, by providing regional sourcing strategy and implementing group wide strategic lever
To organize the supplier’s meetings and commercial negotiations with leader buyers from EU and North America
Requirements:
Degree holder or above in BBA, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related disciplines
Minimum 5 years’ experience in sourcing & procurement; Candidate with commodity material management (Steel or Precious Metals) or technical procurement (FF&E, building materials, Electronics Components) will also consider
Proactive person, detail oriented, able to cope with challenges of multi-cultural corporation work environment
Fluent in English is a MUST; good in Mandarin is important
