Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Conduct R&D works on power electronics design for electric vehicle (EV)
  • Conduct DC-DC converter design for EV power system
  • Define design specifications of sub-systems or major components in EV motor control and power system
  • Perform schematics and PCB layout design for MCU/DSP based control circuit and Mosfet/IGBT based power circuit
  • Define and perform system performance verification testing and analysis
  • Troubleshoot technical issue in field if needed
  • Compile technical documents for project deliverables, design drawings, test plans and test reports

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics Engineering disciplines from a local university
  • Hands-on experience on various DSP/MCU and their software tools(TI, ST, Freescale) for product applications
  • Experience in EDA tool (PADS, Altium Designer)
  • Experience in simulation and testing of power electronics
  • Knowledge of transformer design a plus
  • Knowledge of designing power electronics system for EMI/EMC compatibility an advantage
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Mature, self-motivated, and analytical skills to solve technical problems
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua

Note:

This is a position funded by the Internship Programme of the Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) R&D project from March 2019 to August 2020.
