Job Description

Our client is a leading hotel/casino group in Macau.

 

SCOPE

Deliver on the project and operating targets for Housekeeping department. Deliverables include service quality, on budget performance and participating in the growth of the business. Strategic management is a focus across a broad range of departments. Additionally, relationship management with key hotel partners is a critical component of the role as the department forms a significant portion of the shared services across the property.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITEES

  • Project management
  • including but not limited to preparation and planning
  • Ensuring all project component related to housekeeping are integrated and coordinated for Critical Path
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise appropriately to meet the changing needs and requirement - Manage day to day aspects of a project scope
  • Review deliverables prepared by construction team
  • Engage in reviews and quality assurance procedures
  • Ensure accuracy with Critical Path input and documentation
  • Directly manage the operating units under his/ her scope.
  • Coordinate closely with the supporting departments to ensure the delivery of guest services.
  • Meet regularly with senior managements of luxury Hotels to manage the deliverables to those properties.
  • Establish KPI’s across all departments under the scope to ensure correct standards of quality and productivity. - Establish Department Operating Manuals and Specific Operating Procedures to ensure maximum comforts for guests.
  • Plan, implement and administer an effective preventive maintenance program to ensure the upkeep of the Hotel Buildings and its Operating Equipment.
  • Coordinate and conduct regular inspection of buildings to ensure strict compliance with government, fire and safety regulations and license requirements. Recommend and/or take action to ensure compliance.
  • Identify, review and facilitate continuous training programs for employees on new operation techniques to increase productivities and maximize revenue and guest services for the hotel. Plan, implement and administer an energy management program.
  • Create opportunities within other divisions/departments to share resources to save cost or build revenue.
  • Prepare yearly Hotel Operation Budgets and to review Profit and Lost and to take corrective measure deemed necessary.
  • Manage relations with key customers of shared services such as but not limited to laundry, linen, public area cleaning, floral and wardrobe.
  • Coordinates closely with external parties such as utility companies, public health authorities, government departments, tourism board, media and local charitable organizations to establish and cultivate a good working relationship.
  • Establish good control practices/systems in all operating departments and to review as and when necessary.
  • Keep abreast of the competition and to evaluate the market trends, identify the business needs and able to take actions to maximize the profits for the company.
  • Perform all functions as and when required by the management

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION

  • University degree in hotel management, business administration or related field

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 10 years work experience in hotel management.
  • Proven track record of managing large structured teams and delivering financial targets. Successful pre-opening of hotels or casinos.
  • Sourcing and purchasing of Housekeeping and in-room items for hotel and casino

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

  • Hospitality industry / Gaming industry / Asia Pacific cultural and business trends.

 

SKILLS / ABILITIES / PRESENCE

  • Possess excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Able to collaborate with colleagues across all levels & locations to deliver great results.
  • Proficient in English speaking and writing.
  • Chinese dialects preferred (Cantonese & Mandarin).
  • Get along with fellow Employees and work as a team.
  • Able to perform independently under pressure and be willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to company policies.
  • Have a well groomed, professional appearance.
