Senior Technical Officer/Technical Officer

The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing professional technical support in Audio-Visual (AV) and IT services to all University staff and students; (b) providing support in photo shooting, video taking, recording, and editing and processing the media, setting up and operating the AV equipment on site for seminars, conferences, celebrating events and other teaching activities of the University; (c) providing support for the operation and maintenance of equipment in classrooms and other physical teaching environment; (d) attending, resolving or escalating support calls within agreed timescales using IT helpdesk system.  Shift duties on evenings, weekends and public holidays may be required.

Requirements

Candidates should have (i) at least a Diploma in Information Technology (IT), Creative Media or any other related fields; (ii) at least 3 years of working experience in support of AV systems and IT support; (iii) hands-on experience in photo shooting, video taking, editing and processing media; (iv) good technical knowledge on AV equipment, Public Address (PA) system, classroom facilities setup, live broadcasting and multimedia technology; and (v) good customer service skills and service attitude. Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
