Job Description

We are looking for an Account Director to service one of the world’s best known brands. We are an international agency with a diverse employee profile. This is a regional role covering APAC.  

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Inspire and motivate the team involved in the business across agency disciplines - creative, planning, digital, data, media and production to ensure optimal output.
  • Make strategic recommendations in creative briefs and presentations, advocate and inspire great advertising, on the assigned brands.
  • Lead and grow multiple clients and brands.
  • Manage all areas of client delivery and overall relationship management.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload for the agency and exercise time management skills
  • Be fiscally responsible by remaining aware of the scope/budget associated with each project include review and  sign-off  of  monthly  billing  and  forecasting, client management or escalation of billing as needed.
  • To motivate and train an Account Manager / Executive to develop respective skills and provide better service to the client.
  • Establish goal settings and provide on-going feedback to support recognition and improvements as it relates to employee development.
  • Ability to craft creative briefs and provide clear, persuasive and inspiriting briefings to the IMC team and remain an active contributor throughout the creative development process.
  • Occasional travel is usually required for client visits, planning and brief taking.
  • Take a focus on expanding the Agency’s portfolio by building relationships across the client’s organization and with key industry partners.
  • Understand the client’s business and seek to capitalize on opportunities where we can contribute in growing client’s business.
  • Foster a culture of growth and development with the account team and show pro-active leadership that encourages teams to perform to the best of their ability.
  • Demonstrate initiative in all areas of improving the management and growth of all partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or higher with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in an agency. FMCG experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a proven track record of outstanding client service and relationship building.
  • Experience of integrated campaigns and a range of digital and traditional advertising formats
  • In depth knowledge and experience with multichannel marketing with track record of facilitating and coordinating integrated marketing campaigns at a regional level.
  • Excellent  interpersonal,  communication  and  presentation  skills  that  demonstrate  influence  and diplomacy; strategic thinking and advertising/promotional acumen.
  • Experience in applying learning from both research analysis and derive implications to influence to client’s strategic decisions.
  • A track record of managing and growing employees and teams through coaching and training.
