Assistant Purchasing Stock Control Manager (APSCM) Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and professional Assistant Purchasing Stock Control Manager to join our team. The APSCM will be responsible for maintaining the supply and demand of inventory and ensuring that there are adequate stocks available. The APSCM will also ensure stock purchasing, delivery and shipping confirmations, and manage inventory balances. The ideal candidate will be able to keep a complete and detailed database of inventory and supply documentation but will also be on the ground floor of receiving to personally inspect and confirm supply quality and delivery.

Assistant Purchasing Stock Control Manager (APSCM) key responsibilities include:

• Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)
• Submitting purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) to internal databases
• Placing orders to replenish merchandise as needed

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure correct inventory is loaded into correct delivery ships and trucks
• Track shipments and address any delays
• Oversee storage of products, making note particularly of sooner expired and fragile/ damaged items
• Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals
• Prepare inventory for deliveries and shipping
• Coordinate regular inventory audits
• Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to pack and test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)
• Keep updated inventory records (including weekly shipments)
• Ensure purchases do not exceed budget
• Any ad-hoc duties deemed appropriate by General Manager

Requirements and Qualifications

• Degree or High Diploma holder in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration. Candidate with solid related experience will also be considered
• Three (3) years’ solid experience in Procurement and Inventory Management
• Experience in Confectionery/ F&B will be a plus
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• Working knowledge of any ERP system and inventory management software (e.g. DEAR or Unleashed)
• Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the shift
• Physically able to lift up to 25 pounds or more
• Active participation in inventory audits
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (both English and Chinese)
• Able to work night, weekends, extended hours, and holidays
• Goal-oriented, organized team player
• Accurate and precise attention to detail
• Able to analyse problems and strategic for better solutions
• Good interpersonal skills to work with management and staff at all levels
• Mature, drivers’ licence is an advantage
• Immediate available is highly preferred
