Job Description

Responsibilities


Reporting to Senior Manager (Legal Affairs), the appointee will be required to:

  • Provide legal advice to different operation lines and handle all legal related issues, including compliance with the relevant statutory requirements;
  • Assist in drafting legal documents such as agreements with vendors and employment contracts;
  • Work closely with internal departments and provide legal advice/ practical solutions to issues arising from daily operation;
  • Assist in handling all legal matters regarding the regulatory regime for the property management services profession, including formulating codes of conduct and administrative guidelines, drafting of subsidiary legislation, reviewing procedures for complaints and disciplinary proceedings, etc.;
  • Assist in conducting legal or independent background research and seek advice from relevant professionals and consulting agencies from other disciplines and government agencies;
  • Perform the role of clerk to the Disciplinary Committee and, in particular, in the administration of disciplinary proceedings; and
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.);
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant working experience;
  • Experience in public sectors, authorities or relevant industries will be an advantage;
  • A good team player with a strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal and problem solving skills;
  • Independent and able to work under pressure; and
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.

 

Terms of Appointment

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  An initial 3-year contract will be offered to the successful candidate of the post. Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts subject to performance and staffing needs.
