Job Description Summary

 

This role implements result-oriented approach to VF Corporation’s Chem-IQSM program, executing strategy, goals and actions. The role, in partnership with the Manager, Chem-IQSM and Director, Product Stewardship, provides data analytics to enhance the Chem-IQSM program, implement the program across VF’s supply chain, including both Tier-1 and Tier-2 facilities. The role communicates program initiatives, and roll-out procedures, periodic KPI updates to various internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders, including consultants, chemical industry partners, third party labs, etc. to continuously refine the program. The Chem-IQSM Senior Analyst shall tenaciously seek for opportunities to learn more about our supply chain to improve the further roll-out of the program. This role partners with VF’ s sourcing, global material supply and other internal stakeholders to ensure the Chem-IQSM program is implemented annually across the VF supply chain covering Tier-1 and Tier-2 facilities. The role also engages with these facilities to build corrective actions and conducts root-cause analysis to phase-out red-rated chemicals and to implement appropriate actions for orange rated chemicals.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the program and data across all sourcing locations globally including all in-scope Tier-1 and Tier-2 facilities. This role executes organization’s vision and strategic goals and drives supplier compliance to meet these expectations.
  • Monitor 3rd party service providers to build capacity, review and assess turnaround times and support the service providers to maintain technical capability. This role manages and monitors the performance of the service provider.
  • Educate and lead communications with in-scope Tier-1 and Tier-2 facilities, sourcing, global material supply and sustainable operations regularly on Chem-IQSM program KPIs, findings and implement corrective action measures to phase-out red-rated chemistries and to implement appropriate actions for orange rated chemicals.
  • Drive execution of corrective action plans to facilitate the phase-out of unwanted chemistry enabling their replacement with preferred chemistry and to implement appropriate actions for orange rated chemicals.
  • Monitor and drive Chem-IQSM implementation, communicate progress with sourcing and global material supply to encourage supplier participation.
  • Discuss Chem-IQ implementation issues & challenges with Chem-IQ manager and seek solutions to keep things moving forward
  • Manage shipment processes and develop standard operating procedures with chemical shipment logistic companies to help suppliers ship chemical samples to the labs.
  • Assure collection & availability of data for development of key performance indicators (KPI) in partnership with Chem-IQSM Manager. Regularly update internal stakeholders (Sourcing / Brands / Sustainability & Compliance Teams) on results & KPI performance, use these to further enhance program implementation and roll-out.
