Department of Computer Science

The appointee is expected to provide administrative and secretarial support to all aspects of work of the Department. Duties include handling academic, financial and personnel related matters; liaising with internal and external parties; providing secretarial support to committees and meetings; supervising support staff; preparing various reports; arranging departmental activities, and performing any other duties as assigned. 

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least seven years of relevant work experience, preferably in tertiary institutions. Effective communication skills with excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is essential. They should be meticulous and self-motivated with strong problem solving and organisational skills. Proficient in computing applications, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint etc.) and Chinese word processing,is required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
