Celebrating our legacy of modern fashion, creativity, individuality, and intrigue by providing every guest with unparalleled customer experience, we are currently seeking an e-Commerce Merchandise Planner, focused on Giordano.com based at our Hong Kong Corporate Headquarters.

The Planner is responsible for developing merchandise plans to meet Giordano’s growth targets, margin expectations, and inventory productivity thresholds. The Planner will partner closely with key cross-functional partners and spearhead the development of new strategies to maximize business opportunities and minimize inventory liability risk.

Responsibilities:

  •        Forecast Demand, Net Sales, markdowns, receipts, and inventory flows to meet sales and profitability targets
  •        Analyze key business metrics to develop seasonal/annual strategies (i.e., Demand, Traffic, Conversion, Returns, traffic, AOV)
  •        Regularly re-forecast financial projections based on changes in business strategy, industry trends, promotional cadence, and receipt flow
  •        Develop preseason sales, margin and inventory plans that support Giordano’s major growth strategies at the division, department and item level
  •        Research distinct business trends of full-price and off-price websites, accounting for seasonality and price point variances
  •        Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities by department and class for the preseason
  •        Manage weekly/monthly business review meetings, evaluating key performance indicators and go-forward strategies to drive sales
  •        Partner with cross-functional teams (Digital Marketing, Merchandising) to develop promotional cadence and identify key seasonal product focus areas
  •        Develop and maintain a suite of standard reports to track business health and ensure the Merchants/Digital teams are prioritizing key business-driving merchandise
  •        Collaborate with Merchandise Managers to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial and product opportunities

Requirements:

  •        Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
  •       At least 4 years of experience in merchandise planning or equivalent, with demonstrated expertise in e-Commerce
  •        Understanding of retail financial measurements
  •        Passion for numbers and product
  •        Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  •        Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  •        Strong strategic, innovative thinking skills and a clear understanding of both topline and bottom line profitability drivers
  •        Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
  •        Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills
  •        Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  •        Experience presenting to and interacting directly with executive teams
